Lisa E. Wasserman
Chief Financial Officer
Lisa E. Wasserman joined the American Board of Medical Specialties in 2011 as Chief Financial Officer. In this role, she oversees finance and accounting, serves as both a financial and strategic business advisor to the organization and contributes actively to the evolution and execution of the organization’s strategic business plans.
Ms. Wasserman has over 20 years experience as a finance and accounting leader and strategic business partner in a variety of industries, including Big Four public accounting and non-profit. She most recently worked as a member of the senior management team at Appraisal Institute in Chicago, an international professional membership organization for real estate appraisers with over 26,000 members. Ms. Wasserman held the position of Chief Administrative Officer/Chief Financial Officer, with oversight of the Finance, Administration and IS departments. In this position, her accomplishments included responsibility for a $20 million annual organization budget, serving as a key member of the leadership team developing long-range and strategic plans for the organization and leading all departments in establishing measurements and reports for key performance indicators.
She received her accounting degree from Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana, and is a CPA.
