ABMS Acquires TMP Medical Listings

CHICAGO – Jan. 17, 2012 – ABMS Solutions, LLC, a recently formed subsidiary of ABMS, has acquired Atlanta-based TMP Medical Listings (TMP-ML), a division of TMP Directional Marketing, LLC.  TMP-ML has been more commonly known as the CertiFACTS Online verification program.

 “Because an integral component of ABMS’ mission is to provide valuable information to hospitals, healthcare providers and health plans regarding the certification of medical specialists, ABMS decided to purchase TMP Medical Listings after its parent company, TMP Directional Marketing, LLC, filed for bankruptcy,” said Kevin B. Weiss, MD, ABMS President and CEO. “This acquisition will ensure continued access in the healthcare community to the credible, accurate and timely data that meets the Primary Source Verification requirements of The Joint Commission, The National Committee for Quality Assurance, the Utilization Review Accreditation Commission and other key accrediting organizations.” CertiFACTS also is the only online resource that provides daily database updates of physician Board Certification.

CertiFACTS enables users to navigate Board Certification information for nearly 800,000 medical professionals—primary care doctors, physician specialists and physician subspecialists—in the specialties and subspecialties recognized by ABMS.
