ABMS invites the Continuing Medical Education (CME) community to submit CME activities for review and inclusion in the ABMS MOC Directory. The following types of activities are currently included:
- Internet Enduring Activities
- Journal CME
- Performance Improvement (PI-CME)
- Internet Point of Care
- Live Activities
All CME activities must be accredited through an Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) Accredited Provider (or joint provider) and be qualified to award credit(s) from one or more of the CME credit systems: AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™, AAFP Prescribed Credit, ACOG Cognates, and AOA Category 1-A.
CME activities may be submitted through a single Submission Form for review by multiple Member Boards. The process involves:
- Reading the Submission Instructions and Checklist
- Reviewing and accepting the Submission Agreement
- Completing the online Submission Form
Completed submission forms are presented to the targeted ABMS Member Boards for review. Once approved, ABMS will contact the provider with information about which Member Boards approved the activity and the type of approval granted. The activity review and approval process takes approximately six to eight weeks.
