ABMS Multi-Specialty Portfolio Approval Program Adds the Wisconsin Medical Society

ABMS has announced that the Wisconsin Medical Society has joined ABMS’ Multi-Specialty Portfolio Approval Program™. Members of the Society who are Board Certified by one of 20 of the 24 ABMS Member Boards participating in the Portfolio Program may now receive maintenance of certification credit for engagement in the Society’s various performance improvement activities.

The ABMS today announced that the Ohio Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics has joined ABMS’ Multi-Specialty Portfolio Approval Program™. Ohio AAP members who are Board Certified by one of 20 of the 24 ABMS Member Boards participating in the Portfolio Program may now receive maintenance of certification credit for engagement in one of the Chapter’s eight “Learning Collaboratives” or quality improvement initiatives, all of which provide physicians the tools and resources to better serve Ohio families.

ABMS Multi-Specialty Portfolio Approval Program Announces Pilot Program Set to Launch in 2016

The ABMS Multi-specialty Portfolio Approval Program™ today announced that it will offer a two-year pilot program scheduled to launch April 1, 2016. The pilot will allow physicians in Portfolio Program sponsor-organizations who are certified by 19 participating ABMS Member Boards to receive Maintenance of Certification credit for participating in live, Continuing Medical Education (CME) accredited, lifelong learning and self-assessment activities that are specifically and proactively linked to an Improvement in Medical Practice initiative.

ABMS Multispecialty MOC Portfolio Approval Program Adds AHRQ’s Evidence Now Initiative

ABMS today announced that the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality’s (AHRQ’s) EvidenceNOW: Advancing Heart Health in Primary Care initiative will join ABMS’ Multi-Specialty Portfolio Approval Program (Portfolio Program). As a result, EvidenceNOW physicians who are Board Certified by one of 20 of the 24 ABMS Member Boards may now receive maintenance of certification (MOC) credit for engagement in this effort.
