ABMS President and CEO Dr. Lois Margaret Nora Serves as Moderator at International Women’s Day Global Health Symposium
Lois Margaret Nora, MD, JD, MBA, President and CEO of the American Board of Medical Specialties, served as a moderator at the Fourth Annual International Women’s Day Global Health Symposium held in Chicago on Friday, March 4, 2016. Part of the Women & Global Development Forum of the Chicago Council on Global Affairs, this year’s Symposium, entitled “The Health of the Next Generation” was attended by more than 500 international thought leaders exploring the future of health for women and girls during the half-day Symposium. Consisting of a series of keynotes and break-out sessions, the Symposium serves as an opportunity to share and discuss new ideas.
Dr. Nora was the moderator for the breakout session entitled “Education: the Foundation of Health.” The session’s featured presenters were Pat Mosena, president and founder, Options for Youth and Jamie C.
