<description>The American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS) has published a revised ABMS Guide to Medical Specialties. The booklet, last published in 2008, has updated information about ABMS, the Board Certification process and the ABMS Maintenance of Certification® program, which promotes continuous professional development and demonstrates a doctor's commitment to keeping up-to-date with ongoing advances in his/her specialty.
