Data Analyst (Contract)

Position Summary

ABMS is launching an initiative to evaluate and analyze new information being gathered from new innovations as well as an in-depth review of information about the diplomate population. The Data Analyst supports the needs of ABMS which includes, but is not limited to, the Continuing Certification Initiative by providing exceptional understanding of diplomate data and assessment information from the CertLink™ platform. The Data Analyst works collaboratively with project stakeholders which include membership from several committees to find key data conclusions and trends. Reporting to the Chief Information Officer this role will collaborate with cross-functional teams internal and external to ABMS to advance the goals and objectives.

TEMPORARY ASSIGNMENT: 6 MONTHS

Responsibilities

  • Analyze data from multiple data sources that include Certlink, diplomate data and member board data. This will include identifying additional data sets to combine
  • Analyze data for patterns and trends based on the research question being posed
  • Documents results, communicates findings, and provide reports to key stakeholders
  • Acquire a working knowledge of existing technical processes and apply this knowledge to assigned tasks and projects
  • Other duties as assigned

Education, Training and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 1-3 years' relevant experience
  • Knowledge of statistical packages such as SPSS or equivalent
  • Knowledge of SQL databases preferred
  • Solid proficiency with MS Office Products
  • Demonstrated business analysis skills
