Job Title: Production Editor
Department: Certifications Operations
Reports To: Director of Certification Operations
FLSA Status: Exempt
Position Summary: As a member of the ABPMR Team, the Production Editor edits copy for ABPMR certification exams and assessments, facilitates subject matter expert review, and shepherds content through the production process. They furthermore maintain and improve the quality, efficiency, consistency, and security of the ABPMR examinations and assessments. The Production Editor manages production timelines and processes and identifies opportunities for improvement.

- Edit items, rationales, and exam drafts
- Facilitate subject matter expert review of content
- Manage timelines and identify process improvements
- Maintain the item bank
- Communicate with IT and outside vendors on technology needs
- Assist with item writer training and meeting facilitation
- Perform related duties as assigned, within your scope of practice

- Bachelor’s Degree in a writing-related field
- Understanding of medical terminology
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience
- Medical Item Writing experience (Highly Preferred)
Read, analyze and interpret business, professional, technical or governmental documents. Write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. Effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, customers and the public.
Add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Compute rate, ratio and percent, and draw and interpret bar graphs.
Apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and Adobe programs
