ABMS Responds to Physicians Affected by Hurricanes Harvey and Irma
The American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS) and its 24 Member Boards recognize the enormous devastation hurricanes Harvey and Irma have caused to those living and working in Florida, Louisiana, Puerto Rico, the Caribbean Islands, Texas, and the related coastal communities.
In response to the tremendous loss experienced by all in the region, we strongly encourage and support the physicians and first responders assisting those in need. Despite dealing with their own personal loss, these courageous individuals have dedicated themselves to caring for those suffering in the aftermath of these two storms.
As a Boards Community, we are offering support in a variety of ways to the agencies and organizations helping to rebuild the areas most affected. In addition, our Community is dedicated to accommodating physicians concerned with either their initial board certification examinations or their continuing certification efforts. Physicians who are affected by these storms are encouraged to contact their individual specialty Board(s) for questions or assistance.
