Improving Health Care Quality for Children

The Pediatric Measurement Center of Excellence (PMCoE) grant is sponsored by the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) and is one of seven Centers of Excellence for the CHIPRA Pediatric Quality Measures Program. The PMCoE consortium members include the Medical College of Wisconsin, American Medical Association, American Academy of Pediatrics, American Board of Pediatrics, American Board of Medical Specialties, Northwestern University, Truven Health Analytics, and Children’s Hospital and Health System, Milwaukee. The major goal of this 4-year initiative is to advance and improve children’s healthcare by developing pediatric quality measures that make a difference by both informing policy decisions and clinical performance in inpatient and ambulatory settings using proven methodologies. The PMCoE topic assignments for the creation of quality measures include: ADHD, Dental, Developmental Screening Follow-up, PICU, Continuum of Care, and Perinatal/Prenatal.
