A public input period is now open for a request from the American Board of Emergency Medicine and American Board of Preventive Medicine for a new co-sponsored subspecialty certificate in Disaster Medicine.
Please access the COCERT Comment Invitation webpage to review the application and to provide comments no later than September 15, 2025. Comments may also be forwarded to the ABMS office via email at csp@abms.org.
The Committee on Certification (COCERT) will discuss and formally consider this request during its November 3, 2025, meeting. An opportunity will also be provided during the meeting for stakeholders to provide a brief oral comment during an Open Forum. More information regarding the Open Forum will be provided in future communications. If approved by COCERT, the ABMS Board of Directors will potentially vote on this request during its February 25, 2026 meeting. If you have any questions, please email ABMS staff at csp@abms.org.
